Mysterious Boy
Posted: November 17th, 2007 | Author: Julie | Filed under: Baby Brussel | No Comments »Danny is a mysterious boy, when he went to sleep this afternoon his saturations were as high as a hundred per cent but tonight when he fell a sleep, they were 91-92% which just doesn’t make sense. Posted: November 9th, 2007 | Author: Julie | Filed under: Baby Brussel | No Comments »Danny has had an up and down day with regard to oxygen, he was in oxygen all night and then his nurse today weaned him in to air until he fell asleep at lunch time and then he went back into oxygen. He has been quite tired and washed out but still in his self he has been quite happy and playful at times. He finally opened his bowels which made him scream as it tore him a little with the constipation so now he is a bit tender down there, bless him. Read the rest of this entry »
Danny
Posted: November 8th, 2007 | Author: Julie | Filed under: Baby Brussel | No Comments »Danny is not too good at the moment, he still has thick secretions so I had to do a trachy change this evening. His bile is bright yellow which says he is not right. He went into oxygen tonight at 18:00 when previously it has been an overnight thing. He is constipated and his jejunostomy is leaking alot but no one seem to know what is wrong with him. We have been told so far “this is Daniel” but it isn’t. His secretions are always thick but it hasn’t put him into oxygen all summer. He has never been constipated in his whole life and his jejunostomy has never leaked this much. There is talk of putting his peep up but I know this is not peep related. I don’t know what it is but I know that. Read the rest of this entry »

Both Tom and Danny have been on form all afternoon so it was nice when they both had a sleep at the same time. Dan just wanted to be on his feet all the time like normal and Tom just wanted to be next to him, he is quite protective of him which is nice because we thought he would be so much more jealous but he just loves having Dan home. So do we, I personally am so not stressed when I am away from the hospital with Dan. I don’t have to worry about the conversations I have or whether there will be a ‘mis-communication’. Posted: November 7th, 2007 | Author: babybrussell | Filed under: Baby Brussel | No Comments »Danny has been to his nana sue’s today for the afternoon with Tommy and mummy, he has had a whale of a time and been no trouble as per usual. Tom has loved having him there although sometimes he does get a little clingy, just to let Dan know I’m his mummy too. Dan’s sats have remained 96-98% all afternoon except when he had a sleep and they were 95-96%much, better than previous days. We had a really nice afternoon away from the hospital, stress free!
