Insecure

Happy New Year to you all!

Danny Ben has been through a hek of a lot since August 08 but has come out the other side. He is now back on form, doing well with putting on weight. His development took a hit when he was poorly but now he is bigger and better than before. He has taking to running and crawling so his upper arms are getting stronger, he also sits from standing in the middle of the room which he found hard to do before. He has now hit the terrible two’s though. He smacks Tom and tries to tip the cats bowls over but when we tell him off he just laughs!!!  Read the rest of this entry »

Plodding along

Well first of all sorry that it has been a while, to be honest I just haven’t had the energy. The boys are good. Danny has started back on his swedish nose and as we’d hoped he is coping fine with it. Now that the winter is almost over it would be nice to see what our little miracle can really do as he has had no further infections now for roughly 3 weeks which is great. Stressed and anxious

Danny is full of cold at the moment which because he is still on anti biotic, he is doing ok with. We have had a super week with him, Dan has been to Nans monday to wednesday and friday he went to uncle freds where he made lots of noise with spoons and pans. Our family have been excellent throughout all this. The dog kept trying to lick him so dan kept smacking him to get him off. Tom use to do that with seven (the dog) too.

Dan finally got his christmas present which was a discovery dome which he seems to love pushing the balls through, and he tries to walk round it. Read the rest of this entry »

Another good day was had by Danny boy

We collected Dan from hospital again this morning, it has been an awesome week because we have picked him up everyday and stayed at home with all the kids. It has been very relaxing for a change instead of racing from one place to another. We haven’t had that in 19 months! I’m only sad that it is gonna end after the new year and it will be back to racing against time. Read the rest of this entry »

The Truth is out there………………………..Somewhere!

Danny has been to nana sue’s again today, we got a lift from the nice WRVS person. Both Tom and Danny have been on form all afternoon so it was nice when they both had a sleep at the same time. Dan just wanted to be on his feet all the time like normal and Tom just wanted to be next to him, he is quite protective of him which is nice because we thought he would be so much more jealous but he just loves having Dan home. So do we, I personally am so not stressed when I am away from the hospital with Dan. I don’t have to worry about the conversations I have or whether there will be a ‘mis-communication’. 21,600 Seconds

Danny has been to his nana sue’s today for the afternoon with Tommy and mummy, he has had a whale of a time and been no trouble as per usual. Tom has loved having him there although sometimes he does get a little clingy, just to let Dan know I’m his mummy too. Dan’s sats have remained 96-98% all afternoon except when he had a sleep and they were 95-96%much, better than previous days. We had a really nice afternoon away from the hospital, stress free!
