Happy Anniversary

At the beginning of the week Danny was unwell due to his vaccinations we think as it only lasted a couple of days or if you believe his consultant it was down to the swedish nose!!! Since then he has been back on form, shouting and flirting with anyone who happened to be around! Today he had a new staff member to look after and all he did was flirt all day, I think they were quite impressed.

His cpap has been weaned to 5 and so far he hasn’t noticed. He has also spend time off his ventilator this week which gives us such hope as we were originally told 3 and even if he doesn’t manage anymore time off in the near furture, it gives us hope that he has this last week whilst maintaining sats of 96-98% and not struggling at all as we did wonder whether this could ever happen even after he was 3 as his airway was so big. Our child is doing better than we could have ever dreamt of a year ago. Today is also exactly a year that we landed at the QMC. We can’t say it has been an easy year but we can say we have survived it!!!

Today we said goodbye to a very fine nurse who has given us alot of support and laughter since we came here. We will truly miss them very much but we wish them all the best with their upcoming event
