Danny has been a good boy again today, he is still very snotty and bile is pouring out of him more than usual but he stays happy regardless. I couldn’t go in today because Tom’s nan has gone away for the weekend so I spent the day with him which was nice although I did the cleaning. Tom gave me a helping hand!!! Dan has had some water play today but judging by his clothes he was sat in it but I am told that wasn’t the case, he just drowned the floor where he was sitting. I am told he had a great time.
When Rob rang this morning to enquire how Danny’s night was, he was told that the consultant wanting to wean his peep was going to contact his normal consultant to discuss this. This means disturbing their holiday for something that could wait a week. It’s pathetic. This consultant still hasn’t been to discuss this with us so it would seem we are still considered beneath them.
I also rang the discharge nurse this afternoon to see where they are up to with Dan’s discharge. They want to come and see me on Monday morning which concerns me somewhat. What do they need to say in person that they can not say over the phone. Had I not have rang them today, you can guarantee they wouldn’t be coming to see me Monday or any other day. I am so tired of having to chase these people just so that Danny is entitled to his basic human right to be at home with his family.
