Dan has not been his best today, his cold I think. He has had loads more suction than normal because he has been coughing and wretching. His mickey button (gastrostomy) is leaking also and turning round which is not supposed to happen so I think it is going to need replacing, well he has had it since last December and I think the surgeon said it is normal to get 6 months out of one. Danny has been on good form this last week, he is really starting to want to grab for things that are out of his reach so much so, he helped himself to a pair of scissors yesterday. He was quite pleased with himself waving them at his consultant and daddy. He also helps himself to tissues and pulls them out the box and then rips them apart. He thinks he is very clever and so he should. (more…)

Dan has had a busy day today. He has been to a teddy bears picnic that was organised by the neo natal unit at the Nottingham City. It was so nice to see the old nurses who looked after him, Danny was oblivious to it all. I don’t think they could believe how good he looked as he didn’t look too swell when they last saw him. Tom had a whale of a time playing with the older kids as he always does. (more…)
