The Magic Curtain

I think he is just tired at the moment as he is still in 0.05 of oxygen and sleeping more. Rob played with him alot today which Dan loved. It is so nice to see the rapore he has with him, makes my heart melt.
The Kids have gone to stay at Robs sisters till Tuesday which is nice of her as it is good to get a break so Thank you from us.
Rob, me and Dans nurse took him for a walk today just to the jubilee campus but it was great to get some air as being on the unit at the moment is getting to us. We feel like we are doing something wrong when we are not down the bottom end of the unit for instance when we go to the toilet. It is really tiring always having to ask for things Daniel needs like foil bowels or nappies because if we were at home I would just go and get them, it would make alot of sense to have quantities of what he uses in cupboards on his side of the unit as today they had another patient at the other end of the unit and things that were asked for were more slow in coming which is fine by me as Dan doesn’t really need much quickly these days but from a nurses point of view once it gets busy I can see them getting pretty frustrated as it hinders what they need to do for Dan and things won’t be done when they change over shift.
What I would like to know is are they going to be swabbing the children that come to PICU and go to wards before they leave or is ignorance bliss and to be honest if my child was coming to PICU now and I found out about the mrsa I would be angry that my child was potentially being put at risk and i feel bad for the poor children.
