Standing still

In the last few days very little has happened with little Danny. He continued to improve with his ventilation as he is now starting to spend time “in air” which basically means he is not having extra oxygen given to him. He still remains on the ventilator as no progress has been made towards him moving to GOS.  On wednesday we were told that the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) top man was back and would be coming to see us that evening or yesterday sometime.  However, by the time evening had come he had not arrived and on asking the nurses if they had heard anything as to why he’d not been the said they’d heard nothing.  The awesome thing that did happen was on Wednesday Danny had his first real bath, thats right at nearly 16 weeks old he had his first bath and he loved it. I was not there to see it myself but Julie did video’d it for me and you could see that he loved it.  Other than that noting much else has happened as we have been standing still waiting for something to happen with regard to his transfer.  On a different not it has been nice as Tuesday and Wednesday night Tom satyed with us at the hospital and despite getting next to no sleep because he kicks you in his sleep it was still great to get some time together. The last 3-4 weeks Tom has been staying at his aunty Rita’s during the week and then the weekends vary.  If Kyle and Bridie are over then they all stay at my sisters, as they did this weekend from Friday night until Wednesday (as it’s half term).  Yesterday Tom spent the day at Nan & Grandads (my mum & dad’s) and had some time with his cousins which he loves.  So now we wait again in the hope that things get moving soon for Danny’s sake.

p.s. sorry about not posting last night as promised, only the laptop froze and it was too late to get restarted. Computers eh!
