So whats been happening since the last posting? Well on saturday I took the kids down the hospital once we were sorted, which was around half eleven, so that I could wait to speak to the surgeon when he arrived.  We waited very patiently and by the time 7pm came we had to go and get the kids sorted out as Ky & Bridie was off to Julie’s Aunty Sue’s and Tom was off to Julie’s cousin, Tom’s Uncle Fred.  However, as we were getting ready to go a phone call came through to say he was on his way and would be there in 15 minutes. Back off to the TV room for the kids so that we can speak to the surgeon and see what the result of their meeting on Friday was.

When the surgeon arrived he said that following their meeting on Friday they had decided that the best course of action would be to look at inserting and “NJ” tube into his intestines, this would be done as an operation.  This would allow them to feed past his stomach as his stomach is slow to empty which is not helping his Brussel just chillin' reflux.  He also told us that they had discussed his “floppy” windpipe with the ear nose and throat specialist’s, at this time they only want to assess his windpipe however if they examination shows that it needs some work then Danny may require yet another operation.  Finally we asked the question “have you contacted London yet?”, and in short the answer was no.  We were told that they would be making contact with London on Monday to ask for their input on Daniel’s current position.  But we were completly dis-illusioned by the fact that we have been asking for 2 weeks for the call to be made to London but still it had not been done.  We were also told that if he does require an operation on his throat then they would have to be transferred to the other Nottingham hospital, however neither Julie or myself want him to go there.  Sleeping tom Julie because her mum was treated there but they failed to pick up on her cancer until it was in end stage so she refuse to set foot in there much less trust them with our child, and for my part I just do not think the hospital is as good a hospital.  So we have to wait and see what they say on after speaking with London.

Ky & Bridie finally arrived at Sue’s a little after 8:30 but Tom had fell asleep before we got to Sue’s so it was a quick drop off then over to Fred’s.  Only problem was when I got there he just didn’t want to stay and after half hour of unsucessful persuasion I brought hit back to the hospital and he slept with us there.
